Crop an image

Cut your photo to the perfect frame: free cropping or fixed ratios for social media and prints, plus rotation and mirroring.

Processed locally — your images never leave your device

How to use it

  1. Add a photo.
  2. Pick an aspect ratio or crop freely; drag the frame and its handles.
  3. Rotate or flip if needed.
  4. Download the cropped image in the original format, JPG, PNG or WebP.

Which ratio should I use?

1:1 — profile pictures and shop listings. 4:5 — Instagram portrait posts. 16:9 — YouTube, presentations and banners. 9:16 — stories, reels and TikTok. 3:2 and 4:3 — standard photo prints.

Precise positioning

The rule-of-thirds grid helps you place the subject. Use the arrow keys to nudge the frame by a pixel, or hold Shift for bigger steps.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is decoded and processed by JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent to our server, and the result is generated on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page (and, for AI tools, the model) has loaded.

Does cropping reduce quality?

No — the selected area is saved at its original resolution. Only the format you choose (for example JPG) may add compression.

Can I crop many images to the same ratio?

For batches, use the resize tool with a preset — it crops every image to the same size from the centre.
