Why a white background?
White backgrounds keep attention on the product, look consistent across a catalogue and are required or recommended for main images by many marketplaces. They also print well and work for CVs and ID-style portraits.
Tip: switch the shadow to Ground to add a soft contact shadow under the product, so it does not look like it is floating.
Not quite pure white?
Most “white background” photos taken at home are actually grey or yellowish. Because this tool cuts the subject out and places it on a generated background, the result is exactly #FFFFFF across the whole image.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is decoded and processed by JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent to our server, and the result is generated on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page (and, for AI tools, the model) has loaded.
Can I use a light grey instead of white?
Yes. Pick the light grey swatch or use the colour picker to choose any colour.
Which format should I download?
JPG gives the smallest files and is accepted everywhere. Choose PNG if you need lossless quality.
Can I process many product photos at once?
Yes. Drop a whole folder of images and download them all as a ZIP. Images are processed one after another to keep your device responsive.
