Remove the background from a logo

Your device has limited memory, so very large images are scaled down.
How to use it
- Add your logo or graphic (PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF screenshots…).
- The background colour is detected from the corners and removed — including inside letters like “o” and “a”.
- Use the Tolerance slider if some background remains or parts of the logo disappear.
- Download a transparent PNG cropped to the logo.
Two methods: solid colour and AI
Solid colour is best for logos, icons, scanned signatures and screenshots: it removes every pixel of the background colour and cleans the soft edge so there is no white fringe on dark backgrounds.
AI is better for photos of objects or logos on textured backgrounds, such as a sign photographed on a wall.
Scanned signatures
Scan or photograph your signature on white paper, use the solid colour method and increase the tolerance until the paper texture disappears. The result can be placed on documents as a transparent PNG.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is decoded and processed by JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent to our server, and the result is generated on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page (and, for AI tools, the model) has loaded.
Why does my logo have a white outline on dark backgrounds?
Edges of logos are blended with the original background. This tool removes the background colour from those edge pixels, which eliminates the halo.
Can I get an ICO or favicon?
Yes — download the transparent PNG and convert it to ICO with the image converter. See also how to make a favicon.
