How to use it

Supported sizes
2×2 inches (51×51 mm) — US passport and visa photos. 35×45 mm — EU countries including Poland, the UK and many others. 50×70 mm — Canadian passport. You can also enter a custom size in millimetres.
Printing
The print sheet is a 4×6 in (10×15 cm) JPG at 300 or 600 dpi with thin cut lines. Order it as a standard photo print at any photo kiosk or online lab, then cut out the photos.
Requirements differ between countries and offices (head size, background shade, glasses, digital submission rules). Always check the official rules before submitting your photo.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is decoded and processed by JavaScript and WebAssembly inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent to our server, and the result is generated on your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page (and, for AI tools, the model) has loaded.
What makes a good passport photo?
Even lighting with no shadows on the face or background, looking straight at the camera, a neutral expression with mouth closed, eyes open and visible, and the whole head including hair in the frame.
Can I use a selfie?
Selfies are often distorted because the camera is too close. Ask someone to take the photo from about 1.5 m away, or use a timer.
Is the photo guaranteed to be accepted?
No tool can guarantee acceptance, because offices also check things like lighting, expression and image quality. The guide helps you meet the size and framing rules.
