Sticker requirements
These are the requirements for sticker packs created with sticker apps; WhatsApp’s built-in sticker maker (available on some platforms) handles the format for you.

Make a sticker step by step
- In Remove background add your photo and keep the background Transparent.
- Set the size to 1:1 with a small margin (about 3–5%), choose WebP and download.
- Open Resize image, choose pixels 512 × 512 and WebP as the output format.
- If the file is over 100 KB, run it through Compress image with “Target size” set to 95 KB.
Tips for great stickers
- Exaggerated expressions and clear poses read best at small size.
- Simple subjects compress better and look sharper.
- A white outline (common in sticker style) helps the sticker stand out on dark chat backgrounds.
